Men always felt uneasy around smart powerful women and that reflects in ancient mythology. (Of course we know the war did not start because of Helen….right? There were far more important reasons…)
Anyway, if we look around us even this time and age we see alot of people still hate strong powerful women, even if they are significantly better than their male counterparts.
A perfect example is Hillary Clinton
