What experiments in the kitchen have you tried lately that turned out great, and which ones failed miserably?
I just have to experiment with food now and then, can’t help it. Sometimes my concoctions are a big success and other times- ugh! I am a big fan of semi – homemade. I’ve been doing it since long before the food network caught on to it. My most recent was to buy the oatmeal cookie mix in the bag and add some fruit (getting tired of raisins). I thought peaches would be excellent so I diced up some canned ones & added them. The cookies taste great but fall apart too easy. I think I’m on to something but next time will dice up dried fruit instead of canned. I would love to know what was your most recent original idea, and did it end up on your plate or in the garbage?
Well, I whipped up a batch of muffins one time using strawberry special K cereal and a standard muffin recipe and they were great, but I don’t know if this counts because I made the muffins from scratch………. but they DEFINATELY ended up on the plate (or more accurately in my stomach!)
