Mesh Skull Cap Difficulty!! NEED HELP!?
ok I am following a pattern to make my daughter a mesh skull cap and when I get half way through it the edge starts to fold in and there’s no way my daughter’s head could fit through it! I’ve started over 3 times so far and tried to make the stitches way looser.. but that doesn’t do anything so i don’t know what the problem is.. uhh! what am I doing wrong? is it supposed to do that then at the end of the pattern it magicaly fit’s or what?? lol
It may be sized for a smaller child than your daughter. Or it could just be that the pattern is flawed. I make tatted headpieces, and I find it’s easier to just fit the piece to my head as I go along. Patterns are really just guidelines, anyway. Why not follow the pattern as far as it works, and then improvise the rest?
