Court shoes, although just a type of shoes on the long list of variety of shoes available today, have been one of the earliest styles of shoes to be around. Not just heels, court shoes have come a long way from their earliest image of formal shoes which are mainly kept aside for certain occasions. They are, today, an everyday shoe, with so much variety that you could almost ask anything of them and be sure to find it. The range takes you from the traditional, all time favourites black leather shoes with heel that can be as short as 1.75″ for the more comfortable wear or even high stiletto types for that classy look. But that’s just the beginning. The range goes onto the more vibrant colours and more unique designs. The open toed shoes, the floral designs, the wooden block heels, wedges, the sling backs and the gladiator styles- they are just a few to name from the amazing variety that this particular style of foot wear has to offer. Even the straps now make an appearance in these shoes which were traditionally absent. The court shoes, then, were basically slip-ons mainly made in leather, brown and black mostly, sans any straps. They had this unique look and were known as a separate class of their own to women all over UK. They have come a long way from being merely a sign of political enlightenment. Today they are more of a symbol of style and with their dynamic design and popularity among people; they shall continue to be so, fashionably of course.
