Fascinator Accessories Hat
Do I have to wear a hat/fascinator as a guest at a wedding??
Im attending the wedding of my husband’s brother and I was just wondering people’s opinions on whether I should wear a hat or not. I have the rest of my outfit and it is a dress (shades of green with black accent), black satin shoes/bag, and a black shrug. I had to get black accessories as I just couldn’t find any in the shades of green. So my question is do I have to wear a hat/fascinator and would it be OK to wear a black one to a wedding? Also I’m 26. The wedding is in a church and the reception in a hotel. Thanks.
I would like to wear a fascinator but I just couldn’t find one I like. But my husband says I have to wear one as everyone else is and I will look out of place. But I though perhaps as I am quite young I could get away with it!
Also my dress is mostly shades of green. The only black on it is a lace trim at the bust and little black lines in the pattern. All of my accessories are black but not black black if you know what I mean – they are satin and the shrug is sheer.
You don’t have to wear a hat. Only wear it if you feel comfortable with it on, not if you’re self-conscious. And don’t wear a hat with formal wear (long gown) or after 6PM.
