If your natural hair has been damaged from the sun or from over use of chemicals, you can apply extensions while you are waiting for the damage to grow out. You are also able to cut and style and even dye your clip on extensions as they are composed of real human hair. Even if you have always wondered what you would look like with a different shade of hair, this is an excellent way to see the results with out having to dye your natural hair and possibly cause chemical damage.
Some important things to keep in mind about your extensions, before purchasing them, is that if you have chin length hair, you are not going to want to pick out extensions that are going to reach your mid back as they will not blend well. Instead, select extensions that are shoulder length for optimum results. You will also not want hair extensions that are heavier than your natural hair as they will weigh hair down and have the potential to cause breakage. Clip in extensions can also be purchased for straight, wavy and curly hair textures.
