Is the following order too expensive?
Scottish people please. I am ordering flashes, gillie brogues, semi-traditional sporran, semi traditional Kilt, the works for someone I know well from a U.S.A. firm. The cost is just a little over 600. The hose may have embroidery. The flashes, kilt, 1 tie, head gear, and possibly one other item will match the sett. Your honest opinion will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Prices vary. I would think a good price for a handmade woolen would be around $400. JJ Highins is about the cheapest I have seen. The shoes go around $100. Sporran, depending on what it’s made of can go as little $20 to $100 for semi. Embroidered hose can be a bit more expensive. I tend to see those picking up around $50 to $75 a pair. Flashes about $10, tie about $20, bonnet about $30.
