How hard/expensive would it be to re-dye silver leather gloves black? Where do I buy necessary supplies?
I recieved a pair of silver leather gloves for my birthday. They fit wonderfully and are great driving gloves, but the color is hideous–everytime I wear them I feel like I look like a robot! Is there an easy way for me to dye over the silver and turn the gloves black or brown instead? Anything other than silver would do (other than gold or polka dot!). I have never dyed leather so I am pretty much a novice at this whole thing. Any advice would be appreciated!
I’ve dyed a pair of brown boots black and they turned out great! Just go to a shoe store or department store and buy a leather dye.salesperson will be able to help.First you apply a cleaning agent to remove dirts or polishes then apply new dye with a clean cloth.Allow to dry and buff or wipe to shine.Black easily covers other colors well.(It’s not at all hard-good luck).
