Biker Boots – Safety or Fashion?
The open road can be rough and tough, especially when you travel it on a motorcycle. Biker boots are relied on by bikers for their comfort as well as for the protection that they can offer. Tough, durable leather supplies the protection from road debris and from the bikes exhaust. Boots are an important part of protecting yourself from the elements when you set out on the road, whether it’s for a cross country trip or a quick run to the local deli. You’ll very seldom see a motorcycle rider in a pair of sandals, after all.
For all their safety functions, biker boots hold a special place in the world of fashion, as well. Several different cuts and styles exist, and all can add a unique look to any outfit. Nearly all biker boots are black, so selecting the right pair to add to your wardrobe is more a question of design than colour. Biker boots are often used by both men and women to help achieve a sort of ‘bad boy’ or ‘bad girl’ look, playing up their wild side and adding a unique brand of sex appeal to their image.
