Notebook Bag
Do you know of a suitable bag/case for my notebook?
I have an 11.6″ Acer Aspire 1810tz notebook.
I’m looking for a sturdy case for it, as my current one is not protective enough – I slipped over not long ago and broke the screen (now fixed)!
I need a hard or really well-padded case or bag which will keep the laptop safe from most knocks and shocks. It needs to also have room for the charger and a couple of portable hard-drives. If it doesn’t look like a laptop bag, even better, as I’m travelling around Europe with it. Also don’t want it to be too heavy for the same reason.
Does anyone know of a good bag/case to get?
Budget: max £30.
I have a different machine, but the principle is the same..
For mine, I got a Tech Air 3104 case.
They look more like a black briefcase than the old style fat computer bag.
I think you can get them online for around £25.00
This is for a bigger screen notebook than I have (15″ case & 13″ machine), but it means all the bits I carry with the notebook itself fit around it in the main compartment, rather than in another pocket were they get smashed in to the computers lid if it gets knocked.
I use the shoulder strap that came with the case, still folded, as a pad between the side of the computer and the main power supply block. The mains cable folds up across the front, with the plug pins facing the power supply rather than near the computer case.
It’s also got several pockets / compartments for documents or other thinnish items. Smaller portable drives should fit fine.
I’ve been using this case for a couple of years now and not got a single scratch on the computer’s surface.
