Should I take Jawbone or Flak Jacket XLJ Oakley sunglasses?
I was looking around Oakley’s online shop and found that the Jawbone is pretty nice for extreme sport and I LOVE extreme sport! Then, I found the Flak Jacket XLJ that might be good as well. It’s not into sport sunglasses but it can be wear on classy days like weeding or prom. Both are GREAT but I don’t know which one to take.
By the way, if I choose the jawbone, I’m going for white and if it’s the Flak Jacket, I’m going for black.
Remember, it’s not the regular Flak Jacket. It’s the one with customized lens. We call it XLJ
Hate to break this to you, but Flak Jacket frames (with or without the XLJ lens) ARE INDEED SPORT glasses. They’re part of the sport line and they will NOT go with a suit or any formal occasion. Note- XLJ is not a model type- it’s just a lens shape. The XLJ lens has a higher cheekbone cutout and works well with Asian faces (due to the higher cheekbone).
Trust me on this one, I used to teach a “Professional Presence” class in which I taught what kind of clothing and accessories to wear to what functions.
I answered your question about the Jawbone. But, the more I look at your picture, the more i feel the Jawbone is going to be way to big for your face. They are HUGE. I had a pair of Jawbones that I sold b/e they were just too big. I’m Asian as well and the Flak Jackets, IMHO, would look much better. I would also suggest that you take a look at the SPlit Jacket. Similar technology as the Jawbone, but smaller.
If you want something that spans SPORT and can be worn in casual or formal fucntions, go with something like the Juliet or the X Squared. These are Titinanium Frames and work very well for extreme sports due to the strength of the frames and the inclusion of the Unobtanium rubber earpieces. If you’ve seen the X-Men or Blackhawk Down movies, then you’ve seen the Juliet in action.
