Peruvian Knitted
Can I felt a knitted purse from Super Bulky 75% alpaca, 22% Peruvian highland wool and 4% nylon?
I want to make a felted messenger bag and I need it to be sturdy, but I want pretty marbled colors as well.

If it is indeed feltable, how much will it shrink after 3-4 washes? Will it shrink three or four inches?
Also, how sturdy would the bag be? Would it last long?
All great questions. I should think that a 3-4 inch srink is about normal. This is about what I get when I do the alpaca yarn. It should be sturdy, but that mostly depends on the stitch count and the size of your needles. The smaller the needle, the tighter the stitch, and therefore, less shrinkage and more sturdy, Good Luck.
