Vive Les Purses!
I recently had a bet with a friend that in forty years we will still be using hard cash (he thinks we will all be swiping our smart phones as a method of payment). I know I’ve won this one though. Firstly, we agreed that in forty years to the day, whoever wins the bet gets all the cash the other one has on their person at the time (bear in mind if he wins this will be £0 – I can’t lose!) Secondly, we girls are never going to give up on our purses – they’re as much a fashion accessory than they are a functional item! Smart phone pouches will never quite cut it…
So to celebrate the longevity of the purse and my (soon-to-be) winning bet, here’s a selection of some of the most elegant and stylish money holders on the market!
Beautiful leather purses by Anna and Robert from their vibrant Rainbow collection comes in a range of delightful colours, including red, green, yellow(!) and white as well as burgundy and black. Made from Spanish hide leather, these purses is both fashionable and functional, with meticulous multicoloured stitching around the edge and fastener, inside pockets in all colours of the rainbow, allowing you to locate your most important cards with ease, and a zipped compartment for loose change.
I love the new fuchsia purses by Auchamo, who have outdone themselves in its design. An elegant flower shape with raised petals adorns the front, while the inside features a soft Auchamo monogram lining. The size and shape of the purse is ideal for everyday use, with an ID pouch and multiple credit card slots, but this is a purse that would not look out of place with an evening dress, worn as a clutch bag. It also comes in green, black or tan and with a beautiful gift box.
Giudi have delivered the goods once again their new classic leather purses are simple yet elegant, these are the purses you just want to touch. All made from luxury Italian vegetable tanned leather, soft and smooth and very tactile. It also features four compartments which gives you plenty of space to store all your cash and cards and comes in a lovely gift box, making it perfect for presents.
