Making a shelter for feral cats…?
And I was told you can use solar pool covers to help heat the shelters. I’m going to make it out of a large tote, cut a hole in the side so the cats can get it, but straw in there….
But do I just put the solar blanket on the tote? If so do you have any ideas on how I can amke sure it stays on it?
Weird, I keep finding ferals that are ill, injured, and infested with parasites. Maybe it’s just -my- area though lol

Just finishing building a big one for two cats (strays) I have in my backyard too. Ours is out of wood, insulated and then I covered it with black garbage bags to attract the sun in the winter time…. hay inside as well.
Is the tote a material tote or a plastic tote?? If it’s material, then you could just hand sew (with strong thread and needle) the pool cover to the tote (actually encase it). If it is a plastic tote….then I’m really not sure how you could securely attached it…. I know there are alot of caulking adhesives that adhere to plastic…maybe that would be an idea??
