What type of coat is the best for wearing in New York City during the Winter?
I’m going to New York in 2 days. The problem is I’m from Florida, so I don’t have a nice heavy coat to wear. I bought all my other essentials(scarf, hat, gloves, warm leggings and tights, boots, etc) but I didn’t invest in a big coat because I wouldn’t be able to use that here in FL. All I have is a thin, twill trench coat, a hooded faux leather jacket, and this big “eskimo” jacket that’s a little too loose and really not attractive. What can I do with this?
I have two sweaters, one is a pretty good wool one, the other is wool, but is pretty thin.
right now, wool! the breeze picks up and it bites. For Florida people, where I have family, they say it’s Alaska! And I say “whatever”. Just wear layers and you’ll be ok. i have no idea what twill is by the way. get a nice trench coat and layer and you’ll be fine. If you’ll be outdoors a lot do invest in a decent coat. Just hit up a local store like century 21 down near broadway and John by Wall st and they have awesome deals on designer coats. Macys is on 34th and broadway. all a short cab or train ride away. like most of teh city. By short I mean 10-15 mts
