Why Do Women Wear Wigs
Wigs are becoming one of the most fashionable accessories today. Perhaps this is because more and more Hollywood celebrities like Tyra Banks and Beyoncé Knowles are admitting that they are wearing wigs to enhance the way they look. Likewise, the quality of women’s wigs has greatly evolved from the previous years. From wigs that can be detected down to lace wigs that can go undetected and be worn for weeks, truly, wigs have gone a long way.
There are many reasons as to why would women wear wigs. Most guys would think that wigs are only worn in Halloween or costume parties, but it’s not. As said earlier, it has become a fashion accessory; a trending hairpiece that almost every girl wants to have. Just like clothes, wigs can also go with different outfits; look and personality that the woman wants to exude.
On the other hand, some women use wigs to temporarily change their hair color. Now you would ask why they don’t just color their hair. Well, women like playing up things, and one of which is to find a look that suits her, or just to feel like somebody new or as a way of reinvention. Plus constant hair coloring will damage your hair, but lots of different colored wigs can’t. Where’s the fun in that?
In some cases, wigs are used by women with receding hairline, thinning hair or patients suffering from cancer and alopecia. Particularly for women patients who are in the process of chemotherapy, there will be massive hair loss and wigs can maintain their looks. In addition, wigs also helps in boosting their self-esteem because they will still look good in the eyes of the public.
These are some reasons why they wear women’s wigs. Apart from wigs, women also opt to wear hair extensions that will make their hair fuller and longer. Hair extensions are pieces of hair braided to the woman’s own hair to enhance the way her hair looks.
We always say that the hair is the crowning glory of every woman; this is very true! Women spend thousands of dollars paying for expensive hair cuts and hair colorings every year. Slowly, women’s wigs are coming to the top most billed hair accessory that women spend their money on.
