What are the little wooden bits, that come with blank stretched canvas, for?
When you buy a blank stretched canvas, they always come with these little wooden bits. What are they for? coz I always just chuck them out.
They are called keys. When your canvas is not tight enough you insert (hammer them in) them into the grooves of the inside corners. As they go in they expand the stretcher bars and tighten up the canvas.
